This course introduces the major health issues facing the world today, and the actions that need to be taken measures to address them. The course is divided into eight sections. The introductory section cover the global burden of disease, the Sustainable Development Goals, and social determinants of health. The other sections include: the important infectious diseases, the growing burden of non-communicable disease and ageing, environmental challenges including conflict and food security, the organization of global health, and the future. There are also ideas about careers in global health. All of us involved in producing this MOOC hope you will enjoy it, learn a lot, and perhaps be inspired to learn more about global health in the future.
