Against the backdrop of China’s rapid development and indispensable role in the international community, being able to communicate and cooperate with international peers at the academic, professional or diplomatic level in English has become necessary for this new generation of university students. This course is dedicated to developing and consolidating university students’ knowledge and skills in terms of listening, conducting conversations and delivering public speeches in English. Through a series of engaging lectures, students will learn to perceive the world with inspiring videos, pursue knowledge with thought-provoking listening materials and present thoughts with exciting speaking topics. Hopefully, these three Ps (perceive, pursue, present) will help expand knowledge, exercise skills and develop students into a more proficient listener, eloquent conversationalist and confident public speaker. We wish each of you an enjoyable, enchanting and enlightening learning experience!
