“物理化学”课程是中北大学材料科学与工程学院硕士、博士阶段的教学核心课程。该课程是从研究化学现象和物理现象之间的相互联系入手，找出化学运动中最具有普遍性的基本规律的一门学科。通过本课程的学习，学生应能从理论高度理解化学反应的本质、掌握材料相变理论，积极掌握最新的化学前沿知识和科研进展，并将所学的理论知识运用到解决实际问题的过程中。本课程授课对象主要面向材料及化工相关专业研究生，课堂平均规模为30人，目前有1名留学生。以物理化学课程授课内容为基础的相关专业基础课在本学院研究生教学已开展多年，拥有丰富的教学资源和教学团队。
The "Physical Chemistry" course is the core teaching course of the master's and doctoral levels of the School of Materials Science and Engineering of North University of China. This course is a discipline that starts from the study of the interconnection between chemical phenomena and physical phenomena and finds out the most universal basic laws of chemical movement. Through the study of this course, students should be able to understand the nature of chemical reactions from a theoretical height, master the theory of material phase transition, actively grasp the latest cutting-edge knowledge of chemistry and scientific research progress, and apply the theoretical knowledge learned to the process of solving practical problems
