Economics is a discipline that studies the economic phenomena and laws of human society. With the development and progress of society, economics has been continuously showing new development. Studying economics can help us better understand the current socioeconomic situation and understand socioeconomic issues. There are four parts in this course: general topics, such as ten principles of economics; topics in microeconomics: such as the hypothesis of Economic Man, what is a just price？diminishing marginal returns, Pareto efficiency, the market forces of supply and demand, and so on; topics in macroeconomics: such as the quantity theory of money, inflation and unemployment, the Keynesian multiplier, comparative advantage, international trade and Bretton Woods System, monetarist policy, and so on; hot topics in economics: such as market information and incentives, competition and cooperation, creative destruction, the social market theory, public goods and common resources, and so on.
