Medical imaging is a rapidly developing clinical discipline harboring rich high-tech elements. It uses medical imaging equipment such as X-ray machine, CT scanner, MRI scanner, etc., to non-invasively evaluate the anatomical structures, pathophysiological changes and metabolic processes of the human body, providing objective and accurate information for healthcare and medical research. Medical imaging plays an important role in the initial diagnosis, treatment planning, treatment response evaluation, and prognosis of diseases. A team of 11 experienced teachers from four medical universities in China has devoted themselves to creating this course. The course systematically introduces the developmental history, advantages, and disadvantages of imaging technologies, and elaborates on the imaging features, diagnostic points, and the rational selection of imaging examinations through specific clinical cases. Hopefully, this course will unveil the mysteries of medical imaging for you.
